As we enter a new decade and face new changes to the educational landscape, we find ourselves spending more time in front of a computer or gazing at a mobile device while also teaching and learning. Today's middle school students have grown up surrounded by technology, often going online without training on the care of personal information. They are likely accustomed to interacting digitally daily for hours, even. As they navigate the online world, how can they ensure individual safety and privacy? One way is to learn from role models.
This toolkit is intended to provide a closer look into the world of cybersecurity. The toolkit includes instructional content introducing IT and cybersecurity concepts, with integrated guidance from our role models and Cybersecurity Guru, Steven Forney. This toolkit is designed to support middle school teachers in teaching basic STEM concepts, along with engaging and captivating students to continue STEM learning.
The weeks within this course are:

- Week 3: Cover your Digital Footprint
- Week 4: Future Proof Your Safety
