Deaf Businesses are popping up all over the United States, from fitness to furniture and tacos to taxes, you can find Deaf Entrepreneurs in all walks of life. Research shows that United States schools, no win the process of ramping up financial knowledge courses across the country often leave out vital information for deaf and hard of hearing (D/HH) children and children with disabilities. There are few high school level programs which do so, and few in higher education.
By offering this course and toolkit, CSD Learns is pleased to offer the D/HH students an opportunity to learn and re-learn concepts related to businesses, entrepreneurship, and provide a set of resources for deaf/hard-of-hearing aspiring entrepreneurs to begin networking and enhance their opportunities.
